About

We are two Ph.D. editors, Dr. Rayneau-Kirkhope and Dr. Casiraghi, each with 10+ years of research experience in Physics, Materials Science, and Nanotechnology. We have published in many high-impact journals, such as Nature, ACS Nano, PNAS, and Adv. Mater. We know what it takes to write a good article!

  • A little about me

    I was born in Oxford (UK) and spent most of my life in England. I have been a researcher for 10 years working on theoretical materials science, structural optimization, and soft condensed matter.

  • My academic experience

    • Academy of Finland Postdoctoral Fellowship, Aalto University (Finland) and Milan University (Italy) (2015–2018);

    • AScI Postdoctoral Fellowship, Aalto University (Finland) (2012–2015);

    • Ph.D., University of Nottingham (UK) (2008–2012).

    During my academic career, I have published articles in journals such as Nature, ACS Nano, PNAS, and Phys. Rev. Lett. (see all my publications here).

  • My editing experience

    I have been a freelance editor since 2018. The topics I specialize in are theoretical materials science, structural optimization, and soft condensed matter, with a focus on engineering materials, bio-inspired materials, metamaterials, computational physics, mechanics, and DNA origami.
